A NEWLY installed speed trap has caught almost 25,000 offending motorists driving over the 30mph limit within a week, it was revealed yesterday.
So far, nobody has been prosecuted and police have simply handed out warnings.
But that is about to change with new cameras which will lead to convictions and fines for unwary motorists.
More than a quarter of drivers travelling on the A46 in Rodborough, Stroud, were warned about their speed after a camera was set up last month.
